"Welcome to Stargate Command, Brigadier General Valorin." One of the technicians says to you, as you walk into the control room.
The current General of the SGC, General Landry, is currently away on a short vacation, so you were given the job of commander in his absence. Ever since you heard about the Stargate, three years ago, you wanted to be involved. It took a while, but you managed to get a job working for General Hammond, who gave you this temporary post in G. Landry's absence.
You finally made it, even if its just for a short time!
So, you've done the usual things: Sit in the nice Office chair, ride the lift, and order people around. But your big moment was when the Stargate was opened for the first time. It was an amazing feeling, one which you won't forget.
But now, you are slightly bored. Nothing interesting has happened for a while, but there is a SG team getting ready to go off world, so life isn't that dull.
